Seasonal Saturday: Lots of Greens!



Lots of green today in this week’s farmers market haul! I was too late for strawberries, but got lots of other great food.

The month of May marks the start of a new farmers market season, which means the Shemanski Park farmers market will now be open on Wednesdays. Maybe I’ll be able to get there early enough for strawberries!

This week’s haul from the PSU Farmers Market:

Shiitake mushrooms and fiddlehead ferns from Ricks Wild Mushrooms

Pastured lamb and chicken eggs from SuDan Farm (not pictured)

Flowering thyme, parsley, and whole wheat sourdough bread (not pictured) from Gee Creek Farm ⠀


Kale and pea shoots from Groundwork Organics

Romaine lettuce, red lettuce, broccolini, and tarragon from Gathering Together Farm
