SUCCESS! My Results from the Primal Blueprint 21-Day Challenge!
Updated: Sep 16, 2018
I am happy to report that the Primal Blueprint 21-Day Challenge was everything I had hoped for and more!

I do have to admit that of the two main components of the challenge, I rocked the eating plan, but neglected the fitness plan. However, I'm totally okay with this. I did what I knew I could manage without being overwhelmed, and I did it full out, 100%. In the end, I lost 6 lbs and a total of 5 inches off my body when measured collectively (bust, waist, abdomen, hips, etc.). And I can't believe how easy it was!
During the first week I put a lot of effort into meal planning and making sure I was eating primally. To my pleasant surprise, it seemed to become habit during the second and third weeks of the challenge. Even when eating out, I was able to stay on track. Speaking of, my new favorite brunch item is Eggs Benedict on a bed of spinach as a substitution for the bread/muffin that is traditionally on the bottom of this delightful breakfast creation. And without even asking, when I told the waiter I didn't want the potatoes or toast that come standard with the breakfast, he offered fruit as a substitution.
As happy as I am with my results and how amazing I am feeling, I still wonder what kind of progress I would see if I add in the primal fitness component of the Primal Blueprint lifestyle model. Therefore, I am beginning my own "Round 2" of the Primal Blueprint 21-Day Challenge, and will be adding in the fitness plan. This means that in addition to keeping up with my new dietary habits, I will:
Move frequently at a slow pace: Get between 2-5 hours per week of moderate aerobic exercise.
Lift heavy things: Conduct 1-3 brief, intense sessions of full-body functional movements.
Sprint: Go “all out” once a week.
I am so excited to continue on this journey. The community over at Mark's Daily Apple is so supportive and inspiring. I'm so happy that I have finally found a complete lifestyle plan for health that resonates so deeply with my body and soul. I have a feeling this is the budding of a full on bloom of my physical/mental/emotional health.
